Information

The most powerful acid drain cleaner you will find on the market, our Heavy Duty Drain Cleaner is a formidable cleaning chemical containing 96% Sulphuric Acid to rapidly clear blockages caused by a host of organic and inorganic blockages.

Can be used on internal waste openings, external waste openings and other blocked orifices. Heavy Duty Drain Cleaner will free up blocked waste pipes and drains that contain organic material such as waste tissues, paper towels, hair, soaps, fats, greases, solidified waxes, leaves, twigs, and many other objects that can accidentally enter the waste systems, or simply build up naturally over years causing obstruction.

This unique formulation is heavier than water and is designed to bind the active chemical ingredients together, allowing them to sink through other liquids to the source of the problem with minimum loss of activity, even deep within drainage systems!

Directions for use:

Remove as much water as possible from the sink, drain or toilet to be treated. Pour SLOWLY and directly into the drain over a 1015-minute period to avoid excessive heat build-up which may damage fittings or pipe work. For sinks and small drains: use 100/200ml. Allow to stand for 10 minutes then flush. For toilet and floor drains: use 250/500ml per application. Allow to stand for 10 minutes then flush. If the blockage persists, seek professional help in disassembling pipe work making sure that all persons are aware of acid presence and the implications for health and safety. Preventative use: apply a small quantity at regular intervals in drains susceptible to blockage.

Handling Precautions:

READ DIRECTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. Do not mix with bleach, chemicals or other cleaning agents as a violent reaction can occur. Never stand over the drain when applying. Do not breathe fumes allow adequate ventilation. Do not use on aluminium, galvanised metal or vitreous enamel. Keep the containers cap secure at all times. Do not splash onto decorative surfaces as discolouration may occur. A plastic funnel may be helpful, but the other end should be clear of the blockage to prevent blow-back. Under normal circumstances water should never be added to North Star Supplies Heavy Duty Drain Cleaner. A small spillage (i.e. up to one container full) may be flushed down the drain with excess water as the heat generated will be dissipated effectively over the large surface area. Wear suitable chemical resistant protective equipment: gloves, goggles, overalls etc.
